A characterful made-to-measure kitchen that combines painted Shaker cabinetry with dark granite, warm oak details and a sociable curved dining area.

Designed for a spacious family kitchen in Perry Green near Braintree, this bespoke scheme balances practical working zones with a relaxed place to gather. Painted Shaker cabinetry wraps around the room and peninsula, while dark granite worktops bring definition and durability.

Painted Shaker Cabinetry and Sociable Dining

The joinery was made using tulipwood with oak-veneered cabinet interiors and finished in Paint & Paper Library Lead IV. Glazed cupboards, integrated appliances and carefully planned drawers keep the main elevations calm, while the peninsula provides additional preparation space around the hob.

A round oak table and built-in half-round bench turn an otherwise awkward curve into a comfortable dining nook. Oak trim and selected exposed timber details warm the painted finish and connect the working kitchen with the seating area.
