Iroko Worktop Renewal in Little Dunmow

A specialist worktop replacement that introduces richly toned iroko while retaining the existing painted kitchen and character features.

This Little Dunmow project focused on replacing the existing worktops rather than changing the whole kitchen. New solid iroko surfaces bring warmth and a renewed working finish to the painted cabinetry, exposed brick and timber structure.

Design, Materials and Practical Details

Each worktop section was measured and shaped to fit the existing room, including returns around the brick pier, range area and peninsula. Clean junctions and consistent edge profiles allow the new timber to feel integrated rather than added later.

Iroko is well suited to this characterful setting: its rich tone complements the beams and brickwork while providing a hard-wearing surface that can be maintained and refinished over time.
