Painted Shaker Kitchen with Oak Worktops in Little Waltham

A compact kitchen project using painted Shaker cabinetry and oak worktops to bring useful storage to a tight U-shaped room.

This compact kitchen in Little Waltham uses a U-shaped plan to create continuous worktop space and keep the main appliances close together. Made-to-measure cabinetry allows each run to fit the room closely, including the return around the sink.

Design, Materials and Practical Details

Painted Shaker doors are paired with solid oak worktops for a simple, durable finish. The warm timber surface links the separate cabinet runs and gives the smaller room a natural focal point.

These photographs record the cabinetry project before final decoration was complete. For the live portfolio, the strongest finished joinery views should be used and duplicate files omitted.
