This bespoke Shaker kitchen in Chorleywood was designed around a red AGA, turning a working appliance into the room's central feature. Pale painted cabinetry and a softly patterned tiled splashback allow the range to stand out without overwhelming the space.

Design, Materials and Practical Details

The cabinetry combines tulipwood and MDF with oak construction, finished in a Farrow & Ball paint colour. Granite is used around the main cooking zone, while oak worktop sections and the timber dining table introduce warmth.

Tall larder storage, deep drawer banks and long preparation runs support everyday family use. The result is an informal, practical kitchen with traditional detailing and a strong sense of character.
