A traditional painted Shaker scheme with a strong range-cooker focal point, generous storage and dark stone worktops.

This painted country kitchen uses classic Shaker proportions to create a calm, practical room with a clear focal point. The range cooker sits within a made-to-measure overmantel, balanced by tall storage and long runs of base and wall cabinetry.

Design, Materials and Practical Details

Tulipwood and MDF are combined with oak-veneered cabinet construction, giving the painted exterior a crisp finish and the joinery a durable interior. Dark stone worktops add contrast, while natural timber details soften the pale cabinetry.

The U-shaped layout provides generous preparation space around the sink and cooker. Wide drawers, glazed cupboards and fitted corner storage keep everyday items close at hand while maintaining a traditional, uncluttered appearance.
