This painted kitchen in Earls Colne was designed to use every available section of a compact room. Full-height storage follows the sloping ceiling, while the U-shaped working area keeps the sink, hob and ovens within easy reach.

Design, Materials and Practical Details

Moisture-resistant MDF cabinetry is painted inside and out in Farrow & Ball Parma Gray, creating a consistent finish even when doors and drawers are open. Dark worktops provide a crisp contrast and help frame the soft blue-grey cabinetry.

Made-to-measure proportions allow the tall units, appliance housing and corner storage to sit neatly within the existing architecture, delivering useful capacity without making the room feel crowded.
