Colding Group LTD is a family-run business creating made-to-measure kitchens and bespoke joinery. Our own team surveys, designs, manufactures, paints, sprays and installs each commission from our Essex workshop.

Who We Are

Colding Group LTD was founded in January 2024 by its company director, whose joinery experience began in 2006. The family member who leads our workshop has worked continuously in joinery since 1990 and now runs the factory day to day. Together, we bring long-standing practical experience and direct accountability to every bespoke kitchen and joinery commission.

Our Workshop & Craftsmanship

Every project begins with a site survey, accurate measurements and drawings prepared by our team using specialist kitchen-design software or SketchUp. Cabinetry and joinery are manufactured, painted and sprayed in our Essex workshop. Granite, quartz and other specialist stone worktops are supplied and installed by trusted specialists; timber worktops may be made in-house or sourced to the customer’s specification.

We regularly work with pine, oak, tulipwood, sapele, MDF and veneered boards, selecting other materials where the design requires them. Blum hardware is commonly specified for cabinetry, with alternatives available to suit the customer’s requirements and budget.

How we work

Before work leaves the workshop, we check dimensions, joints, door and drawer alignment, operation, finish quality and visible damage. Our own team installs the cabinetry and joinery we manufacture, while trusted contractors complete plumbing, electrical and gas work where required. We then inspect the finished installation with the customer and address any agreed snagging.

Customers receive care and maintenance guidance on completion. Our workmanship is covered by written, product-specific guarantee terms supplied for each project; the applicable period and conditions depend on the product and specification.
